This mural was commisioned by the oner of a Nursing Home and it supose to be a one mural job but I end up doing 5 murals and a bit of painting decorating in between. Here I've experienced what and how a mural, specially my murals, can effect residents of a nursing home according with their needs and disabilities.
BLUE ROOM
mural

The first in a serie of five murals I have done in Fewcitt Nursing Home, Oxfordshire. The ideea of this room was to create a peacefull atmosfere for a number of old and disabled peolple in that nursing home. The space was a new build extention and I've started from the stage of new plaster. My painting and decorating skills helped me allot. I've started py preparing waals and applying 2 coats of blue Dulux matt emulsion. On top of this I've painted cloud effect and a few butterflyes and birds to cheer up the monotony of for blue walls with clouds. The cloud effect was as realistic and relaxing as possible but when the same things are repeating themselves they became borring. So the burds and butterfliyes helped allot not only by their size and shape but by the beautiful and rich colors. Here was the first time I have used an airbrush. I love it but only to serve some purposses like when and where required. Everybody enjoyed the final result and we had a very nice party afterwards.
